Kalispel & Kootenai

John began his Kalispel research in 1990, when the Blanc family of Sandpoint, Idaho funded a series of symposiums featuring John’s research. The record of these public presentations has been preserved in the Kalispelum Project (East Bonner Library and county Historical Society).

John wrote a history of the Kalispel featuring the Lake Kalispel and their participation in the Sandpoint Treaty negotiations. This large text has not been published to date. It will eventually be edited and formatted for inclusion in this listing of his works.
